Marseille made it two wins out of two in the day's late game as they beat Lille 1-0.

Brandao netted the crucial goal after 11 minutes to condemn Lille to their second straight loss.

Lille also had Mathieu Debuchy sent off for a second bookable offence in the 64th minute.

Nice and Rennes were looking to maintain their 100 per cent records after both won their opening games of the 2009/10 campaign.

However, they had to settle for a point apiece as Chaouki Ben Saada's opener on 45 minutes was cancelled out by an Asamoah Gyan penalty.

Junichi Inamoto was then sent off midway through the second half but Nice could not make the most of their numerical advantage as Rennes clung on.

Newly-promoted Boulogne, who lost to Rennes last weekend, overcame Grenoble 2-1 at home to jump up the table.

Gregory Thil scored a double in the first half before Grenoble pulled a goal back through Danijel Luboja two minutes after the interval.
