Pancrate: Happy to join Newcastle
Newcastle United new boy Fabrice Pancrate has expressed his happiness after securing a deal at St James' Park.
Pancrate had spent the past fortnight on trial with the Championship leaders after being released by Paris St Germain over the summer.
He had also been on the radar of Portsmouth, Burnley and Sheffield United, and had been training with PSG's reserves to maintain his fitness.
And, after securing a deal until the end of the season at Newcastle, the forward acknowledged his pride at joining the club.
"I am very happy," Pancrate told Aujourd'hui en France.
"Newcastle is a very great club with wonderful facilities and amazing fans.
"I thank PSG for letting me have training sessions with the reserves during the past four months."
Pancrate could now make his Magpies debut at home to Swansea on Saturday after being an unused substitute in Monday night's 1-0 win at Preston North End.
