Arles-Avignon manager Michel Estevan has been told to step down from his position after a terrible start to the season.

Arles currently sit rock-bottom of Ligue 1 and are the only side yet to have picked up a point in the league this term.

Estevan left the club at the end of June but was reinstated for the new campaign, however he is expected to be sacked in the coming days.

Club president Marcel Salerno said this time said he would not make the same mistake in reinstating him again.

"That won't happen again. He will be the one offering to leave, it won't be me sacking him," said Salerno.

"In companies, when things go wrong the boss sacks the man responsible. It's not a revolutionary concept."

Estevan, 48, lead Arles-Avignon out of the lower divisions to the highest level of French football in five years.
