Bordeaux tightened their grip on second spot in Ligue 1 as Paris Saint Germain slipped up at Nice.
An injury time goal from Julien Faubert earned Bordeaux a 2-1 win at home to Strasbourg, which moves them four points clear of third placed Auxerre.
Ulrich Le Pen's spot kick had put Strasbourg in front before Fernando Menegazzo equalised, and the visitors then had Ahmed Moslem sent off five minutes before half time.
PSG, meanwhile, blew the chance to keep pace with Bordeaux after conceding an 88th minute goal from Sammy Traore in Nice.
Marseille suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at bottom club Ajaccio, who took the lead on 11 minutes through Waldir.
New l'OM signing Mickael Pagis equalised, only for Waldir to restore Ajaccio's advantage and Moussa N'Diaye netted a late third.
Le Mans were the big movers in the table as they climbed up to seventh after a 3-1 victory at Troyes.
Daisuke Matsui scored twice in the first half before Benjamin Nivet pulled one back for Troyes just before the hour.
But Le Mans put a seal on the three points when Cedric Faure scored on 79 minutes.
Sochaux moved further away from relegation trouble after an emphatic 4-0 victory over St Etienne.
The visitors had Alaeddine Yahia sent off in first half injury time and Jeremy Menez's penalty on 48 minutes broke the deadlock.
Ilan scored four minutes later and Moumouni Dagano grabbed a brace, including another penalty for Sochaux.
Nantes also rattled in four goals as they hammered Metz away from home, with Loic Guillon scoring first on 22 minutes.
Metz drew level through Gregory Proment, but a double from Mamadou Diallo and a late strike from Dimitrie Payet settled the encounter.
Nancy's Jonathan Brison had a mixed game at Rennes, putting his side in front before being sent off in the 2-0 win. Emmanuel Duchemin scored the second goal in injury time.
Lille remain in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League place for a second year in a row after a 0-0 draw at Toulouse.
