Paris Saint Germain bowed out of the French League Cup on Wednesday after a shock defeat to Guingamp.

The Ligue 2 outfit are becoming renowned as cup specialists having won the Coupe de France last season.

They moved into the next round of that competition over the weekend and now they have booked a place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Guingamp grabbed a 1-0 win over PSG with the only goal coming late on as Mamadou Sakho sliced the ball into this own net.

Lorient's excellent season continued as they overcame Lens 2-1 at the Felix Bollaert to book their place in the last eight.

Sylvain Marchal and Kevin Gameiro put the visitors 2-0 up at the break.

Eduardo scored a late penalty for Lens, but they could not find an equaliser.

Lyon eased into the next round with a comfortable 3-0 success over Metz.

Jeremy Toulalan put them ahead on the half-hour, before two late goals from Lisandro Lopez sealed the success.

Toulouse booked their place in the quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nancy.

Goals from Damian Macaluso, Paulo Machado and Kevin Dupuis sealed the win for the Pink City outfit.

Lille needed extra-time before they overcame Rennes 3-1.

Adil Rami had given Lille the lead, but Mickael Pagis levelled for Rennes to send the game into added time.

Lille sealed their place in the next round thanks to Tulio De Melo and Eden Hazard.

Marseille grabbed a last-gasp winner as they came from behind to seal a dramatic 3-2 victory at St Etienne.

St Etienne were 2-1 up at the break as efforts from Bakary Sako and Gonzalo Bergessio sandwiching an effort from Brandao.

But on the hour Marseille levelled with Brandao garbbing his second, before Mamdou Niang fired home in injury time.

Holders Bordeaux saw their clash with Le Mans postponed for the second time in two days.
