Ricardo Clark's agent has claimed Rennes are showing an interest in the United States international midfielder.

Rennes already have Carlos Bocanegra on the books and have been linked with a move for the defender's compatriot.

Clark has impressed in USA's run to the Confederations Cup final despite being sent off in the group game against Italy.

He has been linked with clubs in England, Italy and Spain, but is now a target for French outfit Rennes.

His representative Manuel Quintana said: "Rennes have asked for information."

The 26-year-old currently plays for Houston Dynamo, having joined the Major League Soccer club in 2006.
