Title-chasing Marseille were held to a 1-1 draw by Toulouse as they failed to take advantage of leaders Bordeaux dropping points.

Brandao opened the scoring for l'OM after 30 minutes, but Dider Deschamps' men were pegged back nine minutes later when Colin Kazim-Richards set-up Paulo Machado to level for the home side.

Marseille still trail the leaders by three points, with the top six sides still capable of lifting the trophy.

The draw meant they were overtaken by Lille, who rounded off an excellent week with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Grenoble.

After beating Liverpool in the first leg of their Europa League round-of-16 tie, Lille capitalised on the teams above them dropping points.

With none of the top three winning on Saturday, Les Dogues took full advantage as Bostjan Cesar's own goal at the start of the second half proved the difference against the division's bottom side.

Elsewhere, two first-half goals gave Rennes their first away win since December against 10-man Valenciennes.

Sylvain Marveaux opened the scoring in the 26th minute and Asamoah Gyan made it two in the 39th minute.

The hosts' miserable afternoon was complete when Siaka Tiene was sent off 12 minutes from time.
