Ronaldinho's brother and agent has admitted the Brazilian is going through a difficult spell but has played down reports that he is unsettled at Barcelona.

The 27-year-old playmaker has yet to hit top form this season and has been singled out for criticism by some Barca supporters.

It has been reported that Ronaldinho has also fallen out with club officials over allegations of late-night partying.

There have been rumours that he could be on his way out of Camp Nou, with Chelsea known to be among his admirers.

But Ronaldinho's contract at Barca does not expire until 2011 and agent Roberto De Assis is confident the speculation will die down once he rediscovers his best form.

"I'm sure that a campaign exists against Ronaldinho," De Assis said in the Daily Mirror.

Absurd

"He is doing everything he can in order to return to his best and soon he will see the fruits of his hard work. He will be at a high level again soon.

"I have read many absurd stories about his nightlife and I do not want to comment on them.

"Ronaldinho still has four years on his contract at Barcelona and is calm."
