Fabiano: Going nowhere
Luis Fabiano has put pen-to-paper on a contract extension to put an end to speculation about his future.
The Brazilian-born striker, who was the Primera Liga's second top scorer last term, has committed his future to the club until June 2011.
The new contract includes a termination clause of 25million euros (£19.8million) and an undisclosed raise which the club said will make him one of its best-paid players along with fellow forward Frederic Kanoute and centre back Sebastien Squillaci.
Fabiano's performances last season attracted the attention of several clubs across the continent.
The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle were all understood to have been monitoring his progress.
However, Fabiano, who joined Sevilla in 2005 from Portuguese giants FC Porto, has now decided he does not want to move.
