Real close on Musacchio
Real Madrid are closing on a deal to sign River Plate starlet Mateo Musacchio.
The 17-year-old, who is regarded as one of the brightest talents in South America, is keen on plying his trade in Europe.
River will meet with Real's officials in Madrid on Monday to thrash out the terms of the deal, believed to be $4million (£2.16m).
River's director Hector Grinberg has confirmed Real are leading the chase for the promising defender, although he is reluctant to divulge details until the contracts are signed.
"The kid wants to play in Europe and Real Madrid is the best offer, but we do not want to reveal any more details until the end of the negotiations," explained Grinberg.
