Ligue 1

The top echelon in France has developed a familiar appearance after only six games, with Lyon sitting four points clear following a 1-0 win at Le Havre.

Marseille, though, are loitering with intent in second spot as Eric Gerets' men maintained their unbeaten start to the domestic season with a battling draw at home to Monaco.

Eredivisie

Groningen, who finished eighth last season, moved to the summit of the table as they earned a 1-1 away draw with Heracles on Saturday.

Milan Baros, twice, Shabani Nonda and Harry Kewell were all on target for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig as Michael Skibbe's side eased to a 4-1 win at Kocaelispor.
