Striker Walter Pandiani made the most of a goalkeeping blunder to give Osasuna a 1-0 victory over Getafe to earn a place in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.

Osasuna are bottom of the Primera Liga, having scored only three goals in 10 matches, and it took a disastrous mistake by Jacobo to help them find the net just after the half hour in Pamplona.

Pandiani intercepted the Getafe keeper's weak pass out of defence and scrambled the ball into the empty net.

Osasuna held on for a 1-0 aggregate win after the first leg in Madrid two weeks ago ended goalless and Getafe had Manu del Moral sent off in injury time.

Elsewhere, a Luis Fabiano hat-trick (29, 49 and 66) helped Sevilla progress with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Ponferradina as Enzo Maresca added a late fourth.

Ponferradina led 1-0 from the first leg, but Sevilla were too strong at Sanchez Pizjuan.
