Sevilla sports director Ramon Rodriguez has denied that striker Luis Fabiano is set to leave the Primera Division club.

Fabiano has scored just three goals in La Liga this season but it was his exploits last term which have had Europe's top clubs monitoring his progress.

The Brazilian notched 24 goals in 30 appearances in the league last season and it is this form which has seen him linked with a move to the Premier League.

Both Chelsea and Manchester City have been reportedly preparing a January bid for the 28-year-old who joined the Andalusians from Porto in 2005.

Despite the rumours Rodriguez told Sevilla FC Radio that no offers had been made for their star striker.

"We do not study offers by Luis Fabiano because they do not exist," he explained.

"The striker is key for us today and in recent times we have not received propositions for our player."
