Cristiano Ronaldo insists that he is as hungry as ever as he bids to add to his bulging trophy cabinet at Real Madrid.

The winger won the lot at Manchester United including three Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, an FA Cup and the Fifa World Club Cup as well as the personal honour of being named Fifa World Player of the Year.

Despite the success the 24-year-old decided to move to Real in a world record £80million deal this summer, where he aims to carry on lifting trophies.

The Portuguese superstar is adamant his hunger has not diminished and adds that he hopes to achieve even more than he did at Old Trafford.

"I'm still hungry and for me it's as if I haven't won anything," he told AS.

"This is a different stage in my life and my career and I have the same ambition as when I started.

Starting from scratch

"I'm starting at zero and I want to win more titles at Madrid than I did at Manchester. After Manchester there are a few places better to be a great footballer.

"That's why I've taken the decision to come here, where they are used to fighting to win everything.

"It's what I've always liked, to play and win titles."

The former Sporting Lisbon winger already has his sights on appearing in his third successive Champions League final, with the special incentive that this year's showcase event is being staged at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"I want this title with Madrid and to win it in this stadium would be great," he added.

"To win the Champions League in the Bernabeu would be very special and I have a great feeling that we can do it."
