Athletic Bilbao boss Joaquin Caparros has admitted that he is unlikely to delve into the transfer market.

The Primera Liga outfit have enjoyed a quiet summer in terms of comings and goings, with Caparros working with much the same squad as he ended the previous campaign.

The Bilbao boss remains unfazed by his lack of activity, though, insisting he maintains complete faith in those at his disposal.

"In terms of additions, I don't expect anything more," Caparros said in Marca.

"We have a competitive workforce and there are guys like (academy graduate) Iker Muniain who are strong and joining the first-team fold.

"My duty is to get the maximum performance out of the players we have."

Patient

Caparros has, however, welcomed new signing Inigo Diaz de Cerio into his squad.

The 25-year-old striker recently completed a move from Real Sociedad, but he will be eased into action with his new employers after recovering from nine months out with a broken leg.

"We have to be patient with him," added Caparros.

"He will be a very important player for us and we are not going to rush him and end up hurting him and the team."
