Barcelona made it 16 wins on the trot with a thumping 6-0 win over lowly Zamora in the Copa del Rey.

Winning 3-1 from the first leg Barcelona quickly added to their lead with Santiago Ezquerro scoring in the very first minute.

Henrik Larsson (19, 20) added to the lead with two goals in the space of a minute to leave Zamora reeling.

Thiago Motto got in on the act with the fourth goal on 34 minutes.

Mark van Bommel netted a fifth on 51 minutes and Maxi Lopez completed the rout with the sixth from the penalty spot ten minutes from time.

Holders Real Betis stuttered into the quarter finals after a goalless draw at home to Celta Vigo.

A 1-1 draw in the first leg proved crucial for Betis as they progressed on the away goals rule.

Deportivo La Coruna booked their spot in the last eight despite going down 2-1 to Osasuna as they progressed 4-2 on aggregate.

Young striker Jonathan then put Espanyol in control with two second half strikes (52, 66).

Mario Andres Pernia ensured a tense finale with the equaliser on the night five minutes from time, but Espanyol held on to progress.
