Henry: Rusty
I still feel like I am playing on just one leg
Thierry Henry
Quotes of the week
Barcelona forward Thierry Henry expects to be back to his world-class best in around two months.
The France international has suffered a fragmented 12 months through injury, and has yet to show his true quality in a Barca shirt.
The former Arsenal man explained that he is yet to reach his physical peak, but he believes another two months should be enough time for him to recapture his devastating form.
"I still feel like I am playing on just one leg. I need to work to build the muscles on my left," Henry told L'Equipe.
"I am lucky to have full support from the Barcelona staff, which is fantastic.
"I had not played for six months, so before coming back usually you need two months of hard work.
"I joined up with the Barcelona side immediately, and I had not played previously since March.
"So I believe it will take two months for me to get back to my best, I think this is a reasonable amount of time - touch wood."
During his time with The Gunners, Arsene Wenger converted Henry from a left winger to a striker, but at Barcelona he has been deployed across the frontline.
The Frenchman, who is famously a quarter of the 'big four', admits that having to adapt to a variety of positions has not been easy.
"Further I am playing as a left winger, sometimes in the centre and sometimes on the right. I am having to adapt," Henry added.
"After eight years in the centre it is not always easy. But at first I will try to regain my comfort on the pitch."
