Real Madrid have continued their summer shopping spree by re-signing Esteban Granero from Getafe.
The free-spending Primera Liga giants are reported to have splashed out €4million (£3.5m) on a player they sold to their city rivals just 12 months ago.
The 22-year-old midfielder is a product of the Real academy structure, but failed to force his way into the first team fold during his first stint at Santiago Bernabeu.
He enjoyed a productive loan spell at Getafe during the 2007/08 campaign, before making that move permanent last summer.
Real included a buy-back clause in that deal and have now decided to take up that option.
Granero is expected to sign a four-year contract with Real on Thursday, completing the formalities of his transfer.
The former Spain U21 international, who featured at the recent European U21 Championships in Sweden, is delighted to be heading back to the Bernabeu and is determined to prove his worth second time around.
"This is my dream," he told AS.
"I intend to make the most of the opportunity which has been given to me."
