Javito: Set for medical
Spanish winger Javito is set to undergo a medical on Monday at Deportivo La Coruna ahead of a move.
The Primera Liga side announced the impending medical of the player who currently plies his trade in Greece for Aris Salonika.
The move looks set to bring the midfielder, full name Francisco Peral Perianis, back to his homeland after starting his career in the Barcelona youth ranks.
Javito was unable to force his way into the plans of the Catalan giants and moved to the Greek Superleague with Aris in 2006.
Deportivo will hope that the 27-year-old can help lift the Galician club clear of relegation danger in a tight bottom half of the table.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The midfielder Javito, who played for Aris in the derby against PAOK on Sunday, is set to land at La Coruna airport at midday and have a medical at Deportivo La Coruna."
Deportivo are also reportedly interested in bringing Newcastle striker Xisco back to his former club.
The 24-year-old came to the Premier League in 2008 but has struggled badly to stake his claim, making just 11 appearances.
