Internazionale have reportedly joined the hunt for Marseille's France international midfielder Samir Nasri.

The Italian giants face stiff competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich for the 20-year-old's signature.

Inter's sporting director Marco Branca is believed to have already held talks with Marseille and the player's agent.

Nasri is unlikely to come cheap as L'OM chairman Pape Diouf has already quoted a minimum price of £15million for the player dubbed the new Zinedine Zidane.

With Nasri's Marseille's contract due to expire in the summer of 2009 it seems unlikely Inter will be able to land the youngster on a knock-down price.

Inter have clearly opted for a long-term strategy in targeting Nasri after agreeing a five-year deal with Vitoria Guimaraes youngster Pele.
