Eintracht Frankfurt have won the race to sign FK Teplice's Czech international striker Martin Fenin ahead of Serie A giants Juventus.

While the Old Lady offered a reported 4million euros (£2.9million) for Fenin's services, Frankfurt made an improved 6million euros (£4.3million) bid.

Fenin, who has also reportedly been interesting Arsenal and Chelsea, is expected to pen a five-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit next week.

The 20-year-old was intrigued by a move to Juventus, but did not fancy the prospect of having to wait for his debut under Claudio Ranieri.

"I'm superstitious and I don't want to jinx the move, but it should turn out well," Fenin told Sports

"Juventus would also have been great but I knew right from the start that they would send me on loan to Udinese or Genoa and that would not have been good.

Dreams

"I have always dreamed of playing in front of full stadiums. It's been my dream, that's why you play football. The main reason was Frankfurt were really keen on me."

Fenin's agent Pavel Zika confirmed the duo will be flying to Germany to seal the deal with Frankfurt that will see him move when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

"The transfer is agreed with Frankfurt chairman Heribert Bruchhagen," he commented.

"Martin has just returned from holidays in Egypt and this week we are flying to Germany to iron out the contract and sign it."
