Serie A side through to last 16

Genoa have made it through to the last 16 of the Coppa Italia after beating Ravenna 2-1 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Diego Milito provided both goals for Genoa who will go on to face Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan in the next phase of the competition.

It was Ravenna who broke the deadlock through Pettinari just before the hour mark after what was a very slow start in Italy.

The visitors seemed to be holding on until the final few minutes of the game when Milito quickly dashed any hopes of Ravenna qualifying with two goals inside the final 10 minutes to see the Serie A outfit through.
