Tymoshchuk: Possible move
Zenit St Petersburg captain Anatoliy Tymoshchuk may leave Russia during the winter transfer window, with some of Europe's biggest clubs expected to move for the star.
Ukrainian international Tymoshchuk, 29, has had an outstanding couple of seasons in Russia after moving to Zenit from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007, and is widely viewed as the one of the best players in the Russian Premier League.
However, in an interview with Sport Express, Tymoshchuk admitted that his future may lie outside Russia - though no decision would be made until the end of the Russian season, which finishes next weekend.
Asked whether he would leave Zenit in January, the midfielder replied: "I made my decision a while ago, though I won't tell you for the moment.
"When definite steps are taken by me, by other clubs or by our club [Zenit], when the transfer window opens, then I will discuss it.
"At the moment I have other things to think about. We have four very important matches ahead of us.
"That's what I'm thinking about at the moment."
Tymoshchuk also commented on his preferred destinations, should he leave Zenit.
"I have a favourite team in all of the big European leagues," he stated. "And speaking hypothetically, you would want to go to a club which you like."
Asked whether that included Bayern Munich, Tymoshchuk replied: "Yes. In Italy it's Juventus, in Spain Barcelona, and in England Manchester United."
If Tymoshchuk does decide to move he may be part of an exodus of players from Zenit.
Reports have already linked Andrei Arshavin and Pavel Pogrebnyak with moves abroad, and their departures along with Tymoshchuk could leave Zenit coach Dick Advocaat with much rebuilding to do over the winter.
Speaking to journalists about the transfer uncertainty at the club, Advocaat admitted he was prepared for key players to leave.
"We have played well this season, and for that reason other European clubs want to pick up our players," Advocaat said.
"Next season, if necessary, we will build a new team."
