Beckham: Milan stay
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has claimed David Beckham has made an 'incredible economic commitment' to ensure he remains at San Siro.
England international Beckham is to stay on loan with the Serie A giants until the summer after an agreement was struck with Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beckham will then head back to LA Galaxy in June for the remainder of the MLS campaign, with a return to Milan expected after that.
Reports have suggested Beckham has taken a salary cut to ensure the so-called timeshare deal went ahead.
Galliani said on RAI state TV: "A lot of players show their affection just with words. David Beckham is one of the very few who has shown it with deeds.
"I won't cite any numbers, but I can say that the player will stay with us until June. He has made an incredible economic commitment, paying a lot of money from his own pocket."
Milan head coach Carlo Ancelotti told Sky Italia: "He will remain now until June, then he will go back to America.
"In November we will see what will happen. He has told us that he has realised a dream.
"We are very happy with the agreement."
Ancelotti added: "Beckham has done more than we could have possibly expected from him.
"He has settled in very well with the squad and given a huge contribution up to now.
"He is very professional and we are all very, very happy that he is staying."
