Sought-after manager Luciano Spalletti fears he could get the axe as Roma boss.

Spalletti has courted interest from AC Milan and Juventus of late following his successful spell with the Giallorossi since taking over four years ago.

The Italian has led Roma to win two Coppa Italia and one Italian Super Cup, as well as picking up the Best Italian coach of the year award in both 2006 and 2007.

But Spalletti has struggled to emulate achievements of yesteryear as UEFA Champions League football is now out of reach and the Roma boss is wary that he may not be at Stadio Olimpico next term.

"I don't know anything about my future," Spalletti told Roma Corriere dello Sport.

"Some weeks ago I talked with our president Rossella Sensi and we are going to meet again at the end of the season".

Spalletti has a deal with the club until summer 2011, but without a place in next season's Champions League, the former Udinese coach expects changes.

"I think results are important," Spalletti added. "In former years we got good results, but now something is not working in the right way, so it's normal the club want to look for new solutions".

Speculation in Italy suggests Spalletti is set to replace Carlo Ancelotti as AC Milan manager, but 50-year-old refused to be drawn by the rumours.

He added: "I am Luciano Spalletti and my job is to be a soccer coach, I have nothing else to say".
