Luciano Spalletti has confirmed that he will stay on as Roma manager next season following talks with his president.

Spalletti's future has appeared uncertain for some time after Roma finishing a disappointing sixth in Serie A.

He has also been heavily linked with the vacant Juventus job since the Turin club parted with coach Claudio Ranieri.

Spalletti, who has been in charge at the Stadio Olimpico since 2005, has now met with president Rossella Sensi to discuss the situation.

It has been decided that he will remain at the club, with reports in Italy suggesting he has agreed to see out the final two years of his current contract.

"I remain for Roma's good," Spalletti told Sky Italia. "It can't be said that I am not happy or am not motivated."

Focus will now turn to the Juventus position and it is understood that Ciro Ferrara is the frontrunner to be appointed on a permanent deal.

Ferrara was named as Juve's interim boss following the sacking of Ranieri.
