AC Milan playmaker Ronaldinho has no problems accepting more responsibility following Kaka's exit.

It proved a disappointing first season at the San Siro for the ex-World Player of the Year.

The former Barcelona ace failed to emerge from the shadow of Kaka, although he will be cast into the limelight this time around following his Brazilian compatriot's blockbuster move to Real Madrid.

Ronaldinho feels that with each passing day his influence on the team grows and that is he primed to have a 'great season' following Carlo Ancelotti's exit.

"I've naturally become the leader of this group, day after day," Ronaldinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I feel something much more important: faith, from my team-mates, the club, the atmosphere.

"Responsibility is just a consequence and that's a pleasure and not a concern in any way.

"Last year I started well and then things took a down turn because I got injured and Ancelotti stopped playing me.

"This time I want to have a great season, from the first game to the last.

"Aims develop, a bit like Milan. Last year our aim was to qualify for the Champions League, now we want to win it."
