Jose Mourinho has called on Patrick Vieira to say if he wants to leave Inter Milan after the midfielder was linked with a return to the Premier League.

Vieira has been tipped to be moved on by Mourinho before the close of the transfer window after struggling with injuries last season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has not ruled out bringing his fellow Frenchman back to the club, but admits he is no closer to agreeing a deal for the former Gunners captain.

North London rivals Tottenham have also expressed an interest in the 33-year-old, who joined Inter from Juventus in 2006.

Mourinho says there has been no contact from either English club and wants Vieira to tell him about his plans for the future.

"If Vieira wants to leave, he has to say it clearly," said the Inter coach.

"Until now, we have had no contact from Arsenal or Tottenham on the subject."
