Gianluca Atzori does not believe Catania have picked up the points they deserve so far this season.

Catania are currently second bottom of the Serie A table, having claimed just one victory in 13 attempts.

They played out their sixth draw of the campaign last weekend as they held Sicilian rivals Palermo 1-1, but manager Atzori was once again left to rue what might have been.

"We put in a good performance for the umpteenth time and once again we haven't obtained a victory," Atzori bemoaned to SkySport.

"I am frustrated we don't seem to be able to put away everything that we create.

"With regards to the disallowed goal, I don't think [Nicolas] Spolli was active when the ball flew past him and into the net."

There have been rumours that Atzori could be close to getting sacked but he is trying not to become affected by the pressure.

"The club has stayed close to me in recent weeks and I have always felt their faith in me," he said.

"Naturally they will always make valuations depending on results, but I will continue to work calmly because the squad is behind me."
