Andrea Ranocchia hopes Inter Milan can reach an agreement with Genoa to secure his full rights before January.

The highly-rated defender is on a co-ownership deal with both clubs but is currently plying his trade at Genoa.

He is happy with the situation as it stands as his main concern is playing regularly after a serious knee injury curtailed his season in 2009/10.

However, Ranocchia is confident he will become an Inter player in either the New Year or next summer.

"I am arriving, Inter," Ranocchia told Gazzetta Dello Sport. "In January or June, I will be a Nerazzurri player.

"I owe a lot to Genoa, but [Inter president Massimo] Moratti made me a promise."

Ranocchi admits that it is up to the clubs to decide on his future but a move to Inter looks likely if he can remain fit.

"Inter left me at Genoa so that I could continue my recovery following the injury," he explained.

"I could head to Inter in January, but it all depends on both clubs.

"I am proud that Inter have put their faith in me."
