Internazionale striker Obafemi Martins has asked to be placed on the transfer list.
The 21-year-old informed the Nerazzurri of his decision upon hearing the news that Hernan Crespo had signed from Premiership champions Chelsea.
With the likes of Adriano and Julio Cruz also at the San Siro, Martins would have had to scrap for a regular starting berth, but he has chosen instead to seek out a new club.
There was plenty of interest in the forward last term, but Inter's valuation of é¼25 million (£17.4 million) deterred the suitors.
According to Martins' agent, Premiership clubs Tottenham, Newcastle and Portsmouth are possible destinations.
Spanish outfit Valencia have also been strongly linked with a move for the Nigerian.
