Attacking midfielder Luis Jimenez is set to miss Inter Milan's opening two UEFA Champions League group stage matches.

The Chile international sustained a torn muscle in his left thigh during training on Saturday and is likely to be sidelined for a month.

Jimenez, 24, will be absent for Inter's fixture at Panathinaikos next Tuesday - a game which can be seen live on Sky Sports Xtra - and the encounter versus Werder Bremen on 1st October.

Jose Mourinho's side have also been drawn against Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta in Group B as they aim to secure Europe's most prestigious trophy for the first time since 1965.
