Dutch international set to make a full recovery from head injury

Roma's goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg is expected to leave hospital on Monday after suffering a head injury against Inter Milan.

The Dutch goalkeeper lost consciousness following a collision with Inter defender Lucio, and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

He underwent a scan which threw up nothing of concern and received two stitches to a head wound which was the result of the collision.

Roma are considering whether to look at the incident again to see if Lucio can be retrospectively punished.

Stekelenburg's agent, Rob Jansen told www.vocegiallorossa.it: "I spoke to Maarten. He is well. He had a good night and tonight he will leave hospital.

"We are not thinking about whether the collision with Lucio was intentional, unintentional or whether he could have prevented it.

"The only important thing is Maarten's condition. Once he recovers, we will speak with Roma about whether we can take action against Lucio, but for now we are only focused on Maarten's health."
