Emmanuel Eboue's agent insists his client is going nowhere yet, but admits he could be tempted to move on this summer.
The Arsenal defender has recently revealed his frustration at being unable to hold down a regular first-team spot at Emirates Stadium.
With no assurances that situation will change next term, the Ivorian has expressed an interest in moving on.
Reports in Italy have suggested that Roma and Fiorentina are keen on taking Eboue to Serie A, while Inter Milan have previously been linked with a move for the versatile 26-year-old.
As yet no formal approach has been lodged, and according to agent Franjo Vranjkovic those sides believed to be leading the race are not up to the standard demanded by his client.
"Arsenal offered us a contract extension, proposing to us a four-year deal," he told Calciomercato.it.
"Emmanuel could free himself soon as at zero cost, but (Arsene) Wenger's offer is very good.
"The player likes the way Arsenal plays.
"I honestly think that Fiorentina and Roma aren't at Eboue's level. The two clubs are not among the top ones in Italy, that's the reality of it. But if any of the Milan clubs or Juventus come after him, that could change things.
"Inter have never contacted us but if they should call us we would be in Italy without any problems. But no one has called me."
Eboue endured a difficult 2008/09 campaign with the Gunners as he struggled to find consistency.
He was even booed by his own supporters during a forgettable display against Wigan in December, but Vranjkovic insists that incident has long since been resigned to the history books.
"I repeat that the player has a great relationship with Wenger, he's one of his fans," he added.
"There's no problems with the fans either.
"It's normal that people create great stories about great players but there is absolutely no friction with the Gunners supporters."
