Freier: Back at Bochum
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Paul Freier has agreed a summer return to Bochum.
The 28-year-old Germany international has been given limited chances at the BayArena this season and will now be looking to kick start his career at the club with which he first shot to prominence.
Freier admits his heart has always been at Bochum and he is delighted to be returning to the club.
"I have never completely left Bochum," Freier told the club's official website.
"My family and I have always lived here. VfL is my home club and I enjoyed the best time of my career here.
"I hope that we will enjoy some success together in the coming season."
Freier, who has made a total of 192 Bundesliga appearances for both Bochum and Leverkusen, has been handed a five-year deal at the rewirpowerStadion.
