Prasnikar: New deal
Energie Cottbus coach Bojan Prasnikar has been rewarded for keeping the club in the top-flight with a contract extension.
The Slovenian boss, who took over the reins at the Friendship Stadium from Petrik Sander in September, has put pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal keeping him at the eastern German outfit until 2010.
"He has done an excellent job and so we are delighted that we have been able to commit him to the club beyond his original contract," Energie general manager Steffen Heidrich told the club's official website.
Cottbus, who were bottom of the Bundesliga when Prasnikar took charge, ensured their place in next season's top-flight with a 2-0 win over Hamburg last Saturday.
