Podolski: Could be on the move

Germany's Lukas Podolski admits he could be prepared to leave Bayern Munich after a disappointing first season at the Allianz Arena.

The 23-year-old, who bagged both goals in his country's 2-0 win over Poland on Sunday, failed to hold down a regular first-team berth with the Bundesliga champions last term and is now considering his future prospects in the Bavarian capital.

"I will tackle this subject after the European championships," Podolski told Sport Bild.

"I will have enough time on holiday to think about my situation and I will make a decision on my future then."

Unhappy

New Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann knows Podolski well from his time as Germany boss and the ex-Cologne star will be hoping that the change in management will help his status at the club in the coming season:

"I have made it clear to him (Klinsmann) that I am unhappy with my situation in Munich," Podolski added.

"He knows what he has in me. He has even said that he understands my problems.

"We shall sit down together after the Euro and see what happens."
