Barnetta: Attracting interest
Reports in Germany suggest that Valencia are set to table bids for Bayer Leverkusen duo Gonzalo Castro and Tranquilla Barnetta.
According to Kicker, both players have caught the Spaniards' eye this season as Bayer continue to compete towards the top of the Bundesliga table.
However, Bayer's sporting director Rudi Voller insists he knows nothing of the rumored interest.
"Nobody has made any official contact as yet," he said.
"But it is no surprise that this sort of thing could happen with the quality we have in our squad."
Germany international Castro has a contract at Bayer until 2012, with a clause in that deal which would only allow him to leave for a fee of at least 10million euros (£8.4m).
Switzerland international Barnetta's current deal expires in 2010, but Voller says he is confident of keeping the midfielder at the BayArena.
"These offers don't make any difference to us - we want to keep this squad together," he added.
"Tranquillo wants to achieve something with the rest of the guys and we will try to get him to extend his contract."
