Boulahrouz: Frustrated at Stuttgart
Stuttgart defender Khalid Boulahrouz has admitted he is getting fed up with constantly sitting on the bench.
The former Chelsea man has made just eight league starts since joining from the Blues in the summer for an undisclosed fee.
After making a name for himself in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, the Holland international made his switch to Stamford Bridge in summer 2006 for a fee believed to be around £7million.
After failing to impress then manager Jose Mourinho, the 27-year-old was shipped out to Sevilla on loan but after a frustrating time in Spain, Boulahrouz found himself at Stuttgart where it appears his luck has not changed.
"It is getting on my nerves to sit on the substitutes' bench, but there is no player bigger than a team or a club," he told Bild.
"You are obviously disappointed when you are not playing regularly, especially in times when you feel yourself at full fitness.
"I am sure my time in the first team will come soon and then everyone will see the best of me and not the one I was thus far or at Sevilla FC. I am ready now."
The uncompromising defender was recently linked with a transfer window switch to his former club Hamburg but Boulahrouz reveals that Stuttgart did not want him to go.
"VFB did not want me to, that's a pretty good signal I think," he added.
