Hamburg missed the chance to move back to the top of the Bundesliga on Sunday after a shock defeat to Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg opened the scoring at The Nordbank Arena as Grafitre fired home after just 12 minutes.

The Brazilian international then slammed home his, and Wolfsburg's, second from the penalty spot just 25 minutes in.

Paolo Guerrero gave the home side some hope with 17 minutes left, but any chance they had of getting back into the game were extinguished as Edin Dzeko struck for Wolfsburg just moments later.

The win takes Wolfsburg to fourth in the table, above Bayern Munich as they were held to a goalless draw at Werder Bremen.

The final game of the day saw Stuttgart climb to eighth as they claimed a 2-0 win over second-from-bottom Karlsruhe.

Second-half strikes from Elson and Sami Khedira sealed the win for Markus Babbel's side.
