Zvonimir Soldo has been appointed as the new manager of Bundesliga outfit Cologne.

The Croatian coach, who heads to Germany following a spell in charge of Dinamo Zagreb, has penned a two-year deal with the club.

Meanwhile, Cologne have revealed that Michael Henke will be working as Soldo's assistant.

Henke is noted for the being the long-term sidekick of former Bayern Munich boss Ottmar Hitzfeld.

He was most recently employed by Bayern in a scouting capacity, but has left the Allianz Arena following the arrival of Louis van Gaal.
