Obafemi Martins has expressed his satisfaction with life at Wolfsburg following his summer move from Newcastle.

The Nigerian striker spent three years in English football, but the 2008/9 campaign was difficult for everyone involved with the Magpies as they suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Martins made the decision to head to Germany and he is pleased with the way he has settled in his new surroundings.

"I am very happy at my new club," he told skysports.com.

"I am enjoying my football once again in the Bundesliga, it is a great league like the English one."

Martins is also delighted to have helped his country make it through to next summer's World Cup.

He added: "It is a privilege to be scoring goals for Nigeria.

"We were so happy to qualify for the World Cup, it is good for our generation to please the nation."
