Felix Magath Quotes of the week

The Spanish veteran has been linked with a host of clubs as his glittering 18-year spell at the Bernabeu looks to be coming to an end.

Schalke have already held talks with the 33-year-old and Magath believes his arrival at Gelsenkirchen is imminent.

"Raul has shown in every moment his interest in signing for our team and we believe he will arrive, be it in days or weeks," Magath said in quotes published by Marca.

Spain star

Premier League clubs Tottenham and Newcastle have also been linked with Raul, but Magath says the former Spain star will reject all other offers to sign for Schalke.

"We are aware that the Real Madrid striker is receiving other offers, but we also know he is turning them down," he said.

"I am convinced Raul will end up playing for Schalke 04 next season."

Meanwhile, German newspaper Bild claims Raul has already signed a two-year deal with Magath's side.
