Jones: Blackburn interest
Skysports.com understands that Blackburn have agreed a deal with Schalke for midfielder Jermaine Jones.
The 29-year-old American international, who has also played for Germany, looks to be on his way to Ewood Park.
Blackburn are believed to have made an approach to his club Schalke earlier this week, and now the deal is all but done.
Skysports.com understands that the two clubs have agreed terms, with Blackburn looking likely to sign him on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
The player is now due to travel to England over the weekend when he will finalise a move.
A number of other Premier League clubs are understood to have expressed an interest in the defensive midfielder, who missed all of last season with a muscle injury.
Jones, who has three-and-half years left on his current deal, has fallen out of favour with coach Felix Magath.
