Gomez: Two-goal hero
Stuttgart sailed into the first round of the Uefa Cup with a 6-2 aggregate win over Hungarian side Gyor.
Goals from Martin Lanig (31), Thomas Hitzlsperger (41) and Mario Gomez (55,60) were enough to give the German side a 4-1 win on the night.

Lech Posnan coasted into the first round 6-0 on aggregate after a goalless draw in their second leg tie with Grasshoppers.
Austria Vienna booked their place in the next round with a 2-0 win over Georgian side FC WIT Georgia after the tie was reaaranged as a one-off tie because of the political unrest in Georgia.
