Skibbe: Wants signs of ambition
Eintracht Frankfurt executive-chairman Heribert Bruchhagen has admitted his club is expecting to end the current financial year with a loss.
Manager Michael Skibbe has demanded signs of ambition at Commerzbank Arena if he is to sign a new contract after guiding the club to 10th in the Bundesliga last season.
Frankfurt have therefore made commitments in a bid to climb the table and Bruchhagen expects to feel the impact.
He told Sport1 television: "We went out on a limb this term in comparison to our common practice and therefore we are about to end the campaign with a financial loss of £2.5m to £4.2m.
"This is going to be a certain reflection of the fact we have attempted to put the ideas of our manager into action.
"We still have a good relationship and I believe we are going to have a good and successful campaign with the influence of these investments.
"Michael is doing a great job and my guess is that he will be in charge of no other club for as long as he will be in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt."
Frankfurt have lost both of their Bundesliga games so far this season after suffering defeats to Hannover and Hamburg, respectively.
