Napoli striker Erwin Hoffer is set to join relegated Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.
The Austria international had been on loan at German top-flight side Kaiserslautern in the 2010/2011 season.
Hoffer is now set to return to Germany and there will be an option to make the deal permanent if Frankfurt are promoted back to the Bundesliga.
He told Hessischer Rundfunk: "I am happy to be here. I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead.
"It's a big task that is ahead of the whole club, we want to achieve promotion. I want to help the team as well as the club to regain top-flight status."
Frankfurt manager Armin Veh said: "I am delighted to see Erwin Hoffer join Eintracht Frankfurt. He is a deadly striker.
"He can play up front and he is also able to help when we need one on any of the wing roles."
