Dutch giants Ajax have been linked with a move for Milan's young French midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.

Gourcuff is in his second season in Italy and has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities.

Future Ajax coach Marco van Basten is believed to be interested in signing the 21-year-old from his former club, although Gourcuff is keeping his options open.

"My time at Milan has not been wasted," he told Quest France. "I am surrounded by great players in an exceptional environment.

"For a player of my age that is an experience that I didn't want to miss."

Gourcuff, who is under contract to the Rossonero until 2012, added that he would consider a return to France. "Why not?" he said. "But it's the same with Italy, Spain, England. I don't exclude anything. In May I will take a decision."
