NEC Nijmegen took a huge step towards next season's Uefa Cup with a 6-0 first leg victory over NAC Breda in their Eredivisie play-off on Thursday.

NEC, who defeated FC Groningen in the last round, never looked in trouble at the De Goffert as doubles from Jonas Olsson and Jeremain Lens and goals from Brett Holman and Youssef El Akchaoui secured a comfortable win.

NAC defender Tyrone Loran also saw red in the second half to add to his side's woes.

Olsson opened the scoring on 14 minutes and the midfielder then added a second shortly before the half-hour mark.

Holman got in on the act as he netted a third five minutes after half-time and Lens then hit two in four minutes (63 and 67).

Loran was handed his marching orders in the 70th minute and El Akchaoui fired in the sixth one minute later.

The two sides will now meet at FujiFilm Stadion on Sunday for the second leg with the winner securing a place in Europe next season.
