Afellay: Could be on his way out
Highly-rated PSV midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has heightened expectation that he will leave the club in January after failing to rule out a move.
The attacking midfielder is an integral part of what is a young PSV team and after signing a new contract in the summer until 2011 Afellay will not be alllowed to leave for a low fee.
The 22-year-old has been linked with Arsenal in the past and, with PSV struggling in the league and looking unlikely to progress from the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, a January sale looks on the cards.
He said: "I can't say I will finish the season at PSV. You can't plan in football. It can change by the day. At this moment I like it at PSV. We will see what happens."
If the Dutch international moves on then PSV could switch their attention to Malmo FF midfielder Ola Toivonen as a replacement, although they would face competition from rivals Feyenoord.
PSV are also rumoured to be after RC Genk's Israeli striker Elianiv Barda and Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega.
Barda is also a target for Celtic has attracted attention following a 16-goal haul last season but the Dutch club could baulk at the three million Euro asking price.
Rodallega, 23 has scored 13 times in 34 matches for club side Necaxa and PSV are believed to have made contact with the player's agent.
Meanwhile, the Dutch side's 3-2 defeat to Roda JC at the weekend was made worse by the injuries to defender Jeremie Brechet and Nordin Amrabat. Both had to be withdrawn before half-time and were sent to hospital.
The pair are set to undergo scans but PSV have already resigned themselves to losing Frenchman Brechet for a longer period as he damaged his upper leg.
